GREEN WOODWORK FOR WELLBEING WITH MIKE BRAMLEY
Mike is an experienced, advanced nurse practitioner and nurse prescriber who is currently working within a General Practice Surgery. He is a passionate advocate of promoting food and healthy lifestyle choices as medicine. This underpins his advocacy of social prescriptions for community wellbeing.
His areas of clinical practice, training and experience include,

Remote area, military and survival medicine
A member of the College of Medicine and Integrated Health
He is also a pole lathe turner, green woodworker, leather worker and can turn his hand to many traditional and Eco crafts. Creativity and traditional skills support his own wellbeing in Nature. His enterprise “Urban Bodger” is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary in 2020.
Mike is part of multiple local and National community organisations that use traditional and hands on skills to support physical and emotional health. He demonstrates and teaches traditional skills at festivals and events and is Group Leader for the Derby and South Derbyshire Association of Pole Lathe Turners and Green Woodworkers.
Passionate about empowering people through hands on skills, Mike refurbishes and donates hand tools to give individuals a “hand up” into crafts and wellbeing.
